Finn is currently writing his first non-fiction book for a general audience. With the working title Why The Optimised Life Fails Us – and What RiskTeaches Us About Living for the Present it will be published by The Bodley Head, an imprint of Penguin Random House UK.
The book challenges the modern belief that life can be optimised and controlled. Drawing on the science of risk and uncertainty, it argues that the future is far less predictable than we would like to believe. More importantly, it asks what we lose when we sacrifice the present in pursuit of a future we can never fully control.
